In 1990, Xerox had "Environmental Leadership Program," is designed to make Xerox leader in environmentally friendly operations, processing and products are actually designed for the environment. This work flowed naturally from the total quality management system, developed at Xerox in 1980. Under the new program, Xerox plans to develop the products for a full re-use, recycling and disposal.
