In May 1996, the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, CEO of Alcoa, Paul O'Neill said that Alcoa is making great strides to becoming a world-class leader, in terms of both safety and efficiency. This is confirmed in a decade of attention to security O'Neill as leading the company's value. Despite these achievements, O'Neal was challenged to treatment Alcoa employees in Mexican factories. Benedictine nuns accused the company of treating its workers badly and systematically violating its sensational value system.
