Having spent the last five years, working with the advice of some of the leading organizations in the world, the authors came to the conclusion that the board should be a much more diverse - not only demographically, but also in terms of origin, skills and interests of its members. However, they caution that put fresh faces on the boards does not guarantee that benefits will arise: diversity can also lead to a deadlock.
