Lately, we have seen a number of high profile instances of workplace aggression. Large organizations are armed with a lot of the plans which were created to minimize the occurrence of workplace violence. By comparison, smaller organizations – which represent nearly all companies in the United States- possess neither the resources nor the manpower to execute the aforementioned programs.
Furthermore, due to a number of individual, societal, and situational factors, small businesses appear to be more exposed to workplace violence than large businesses. Despite these disadvantages, nevertheless, it appears that small businesses do not experience higher rates of workplace violence than their more sizeable counterparts. In this specific article, we uncover several small business practices that proffer these as lessons for all managers who want to work toward that target, and may counteract the threat of workplace violence.
