Corporate restructuring has been the center of many discussions in the past few years. This article focuses on the debate about the effectiveness of corporate restructuring, examining 52 studies presented in 25 scientific papers on restructuring and its impact on economic performance. The authors identify three forms of restructuring: financial, portfolio, and organizational. Based on the studies reviewed here, the financial restructuring has a large positive impact on performance, and then restructure the portfolio.
