Fundescola is educational reform introduced in Brazil in the first decade of the 21st century. It was introduced after a successful educational reform in Brazil is available in the 1990's led to skyrocketing enrollment, leaving school unprepared and with limited resources. This led to problems with the quality of education, especially in poor communities and poor countries in the North-East. Fundescola was developed by the federal government and the World Bank in response. The intervention was subjected to various estimates by the World Bank and is usually presented as a success. HKS Case Number 1928.1 "Hide
