The B-case chronicles the continuing NGO demonstrations after WestLB shut on the loan to the pipeline company OCP. The focus of the protests shifted to the choice of pipeline path.
The course proposed and constructed by OCP follows the first pipeline initially and then deviates, passing through areas that are designated of superb that is ‘ biodiversity’, including ecological reserves and natural parks. Both NGOs and the national state of North-Rhine Westphalia get increasing pressure on the bank but for a very long time WestLB failed to react. Learning objectives: Responding and communicating during a crisis; addressing concerns from a broader group of stakeholders.
