With changes in management in 2005, he joined a radical reorganization and the announcement of several new strategic initiatives. Among the initiatives was the establishment of research and development of Vestas Technology (R & D) business unit in order to achieve global leadership in all major areas of technology and, as a result, strengthening the core competencies for the company. By 2008, Vestas have a global R & D network with R & D centers in Denmark, the UK, Singapore and India, and in early 2009, the center was opened in the United States.
