The case focuses on the agricultural institute, ICRISAT (International Research Institute crops for semi-arid tropics), part of the International Consortium for Agricultural Research CGIAR. Since its creation in 1972, ICRISAT was the premier agricultural research institute with huge international and national funding. Irrational and indifferent attitude of senior management at the top has led numerous crises in the organization of work and reduced funding from donors.
