2.2. Board of Directors

The board of directors of Tomypak consists of 6 directors, which consist of individuals with excellent experience of managing business. However, an overview of directors’ profile is as follows;

2.2.1.Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Arshad Bin Ayub

Tan Sri is 85 year old Malaysian and he is an independent non-executive director who has served under the directorship at Tomypak since 10^th March 1996. Meanwhile, he also has directorship of the other five companies, which enables him an opportunity to bring the outside knowledge in Tomypak. Further, Tan Sri is an agricultural graduate diploma holder, meanwhile, he also owns a bachelors’ degree in economics and statistics. Additionally, he owns a diploma in business administration. Further, he has a long experience of working in different industries from which he has gained experience of managing the business more effectively. In addition to this he has also served Tomypak in the capacity of Chairman of the Board, Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees.

2.2.2.Mr. Chow Yuen Liong

Chow Yuen is aged 57 and is Singaporean national, who had been serving at Tomypak since 10^th March 1996 as a non-independent executive director and before joining Tomypak he had been serving at different subsidiaries of Tomypak. Mr. Chow Yuen is one of the founders of Tomypak and owns majority of the shareholding through his wife, Teng Chew Guat. Further, Chow Yuen is the son of another non independent executive director, Mr. Chow Wen Chye. Meanwhile, Chow Yuen also serves Tomypak as Managing Director, Remuneration and Risk Management Committees Member.

2.2.3.Mr. Teoh Kok Swee @ Michael Teoh

Mr. Teoh is a 67 year old Malaysian, further; he joined Tomypak on 10^th March 1996 and serves in the capacity of Independent Non-Executive Director. Teoh Kok is a professional advocate and solicitor and along with his services at Tomypak he also serves in other companies as managing partner. Teoh Kok earned the qualification of Barrister-at-Law from Lincoln’s Inn during the year 1983. However, before pursuing his career in law Teoh Kok has been teaching agricultural at school level. Meanwhile, in addition to his position as Independent Non-Executive Director Teoh Kok also serves Tomypak as Member of the Audit, Nomination and RiskManagement Committees.

2.2.4.Mr. Chin Cheong Kee @ Chin Song Kee

Chin Cheong is a 66 year old Malaysian national, who has been serving at Tomypak since 13^th February 2009. Chin Cheong has long experience of audit work from his previous employment, because he has worked with three international accounting companies in their audit department, meanwhile, he has also worked in different industries in the capacity of senior management. However, throughout his career he has gained 20 years of working experience in risk management, accounting, treasury, auditing, taxation, corporate finance etc. Chin Cheong is also a fellow member of professional accounting body which is Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, United Kingdom, additionally he also own other professional qualification and is associated with different chartered accounting bodies, which require him to be up to date in order to remain member of that body.

2.2.5.Mr. Chow Wen Chye

Mr. Chow Wen is an 89 year old Singaporean national, who has been at Tomypak since 15^th May 2001 as a non-independent non-executive director. Chow Wen is a successful businessman and before joining Tomypak he had owned and managed different individual and group companies and his entrepreneur experience has enabled him to actively participate in the successful management of Tomypak.

2.2.6.Mr. Teo Kong Wan

Mr. Teo Kong is a 54 year old Malaysian who has been appointed as Independent Non-Executive Alternate Director since 10 March 1996. Teo Kong owns a bachelors’ degree in mechanical engineering in 1983, meanwhile, he appeared in the examination of Malaysian Futures and Options Registered Representative (MFORR) and successfully passed out. Further, he owns a Capital Markets and Services Representative’s License since 2014. Meanwhile, he has been working in different roles relating to banking, finance and industry trade, through which he has gained excellent experience. However, in addition to the directorship of Tomypak, Teo Kong also serves as a risk management committee member at Tomypak.

2.3. Management Team

The management of Tomypak is headed by the board of directors, who look after the management of the company. Meanwhile, the experience and expertise of the board of directors have helped the company in the smooth operations of the company.
