In April 2008, the President of Tiburon, a manufacturer of components based on camouflage in the Dominican Republic, met with the parent company of Tiburon and the only customer, GMA. GMA, based in Cambridge, has been a supplier to the U.S. Army. Tiburon was only in business one month, and the president was the analysis of the current production process in each of the Dominican Guelph and plants. Have noted the differences between the methods of production of the two plants, which can affect the ability of Tiburon to meet monthly capacity of GMA. The president wanted to present and implement their ideas for improving the efficiency, quality and cost-efficiency of the production line in the Dominican Republic. In this case, it had to balance the high expectations of investors and GMA Tiburon with plant managers cultural observations of the staff and their work.
