“Thin political markets” are techniques through which some complex and important institutions of the capital system are discovered-e.g., our accounting standards infrastructure. In marketplaces that are political that are thin, corporate supervisors are mainly unopposed-due to the low consciousness of the problems of the overall public and also their own expertise.
This allows supervisors to structure the "rules of the game" in self-serving manners.
