The case traces the history of the 20 year old Memorial Fund, and especially focus on how The William Caspar Graustein Memorial Fund expedite the growth process and collaboration under the leadership of her former Executive Director, David Nee. The organization developed the communication with the broad community, assembled policy change, and promoting networks and collaboration not only within but across the sectors, under the leadership of David Nee with the objective that improving results for children involved various stakeholders working for a common mission. At the end, the case describes the retirement of Nee in March 2014 and R. David Addams took the control as a new Executive Director. The Nee expected Addams to maintain and continue engaging the community and the legacy of collaboration, and would support the values established by Nee and his team of ten staff and eight board members after significant efforts.
