Abstract:
The takeover was of interest due to the fact that it was the concentration of 3 bitter disputes: investor interests versus stakeholder interests, Global champs versus european champs and the benefits of either, and monetary method versus commercial method The very first case focuses basically on the political, ecological and monetary concerns (all in the broad sense) of the takeover. The 2nd case looks more deeply at the particularly steel (and for this reason commercial) concerns.
Pedagogical Objectives:
The cases are focused on MBA trainees, and at trainees in director programs. The cases form a platform for evaluating business, markets and politics with a view to the future, and how they strike business method. The 2nd case is a lorry for going over the elements of business and commercial method.
