Higher income levels of society and the distribution of wealth has become a widespread competitive purpose, and there are consequences for customer satisfaction and collective well-being. The author describes the roots of the problem and how in three shifts - in wealth and income distribution, women in the corporate hierarchy, as well as the growing importance of electronic media - led to an escalation of the North American consumer aspirations. It then shows how the quality of life of the victims, at least three important ways and reflects steady progress.
