In 2007, Dow Chemical and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation has announced plans to launch a multi-billion dollar joint venture. Later known as K-Dow Petrochemicals, it will be one of the largest manufacturers of chemicals and plastics in the world. Analysts broadly welcomed the planned joint venture as a game-changing deal for both companies.
