Two youthful attorneys begin to construct an NGO partnering with women's cooperatives, the Indego Africa Project in Rwanda and found. Indego associates the cooperatives are to the international retail market for handcrafted artisan products, helped by the cooperatives build their company capability, and develops and gives classroom learning life and company skills for the cooperative members.
At the time of the case, Indego is partnering with three cooperatives. The NGO is staffed mainly with volunteers between managing all of the mandatory fundraising activities and the growing organization and the founders are stretched to the limit. The path to continual growth and impact is not clear, although the organization expects to partner with more co-op and raise its impact in Rwanda and beyond.
