A senior associate at Richard, Wood and Hulme LLP (RWH) was amazed at the speed with which the audit team for an important customer for the company was rapidly falling apart. Two members had only been fired presumably since they didn't pass their chartered accounting qualification test; team morale had become nonexistent; there were problems in finishing the involvement on account of lack of training from both the RWH along with customer; there was a question about the commitment of specific individuals; and together with the audit falling behind schedule, the senior associate perceived an absence of strong direction from the partners of the company.
