This case series (see also the B case, BP-0384) has been developing and implementing a strategic plan for the New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) and profiles, in detail, a very comprehensive and original planning process used. NYBG planning process reflects many of the themes of creativity, openness, and vision that characterize the concept of strategic thinking, collaboration, and empowerment so prevalent in the past, discuss business.
