In October 2005, Rockingham County Public Schools website has announced exciting news: For the third consecutive year, all 20 schools in the district have been fully accredited by the Virginia Department of Education. This achievement is particularly impressive, since it meant that the South River Elementary schools that are struggling to consistently work for the first eight years of existence, once again reached a high level of success. Although the main sections Keeler did not want to take credit for the performance of the school, it was no secret that improving the South River began when he was named chief several years earlier.
