Solvay Group: International Mobility and Managing Expatriates Case Study Analysis

Challenges Faced by Executives and their Solutions

The challenges that are expected to be faced by the executives would be: migration of family, studies of their children and the difference of languages (language barrier). As a HR manager, according to my perception; the management should compensate them with an increment in their salary, a house for their families, and free education for their kids as well as the language training in order to avoid language barriers.

Considering the above requests of the executives, being an HR Manager, the firm should not grant their requests rather compensate them with better opportunities in terms of salary increment and the expenditures for the smooth expatriation for them. Moreover, the firm should arrange aproper settlement of their entire family and benefits regarding their children’s education and house allowances with rent and utility bills to motivate the executives to perform better without any having concerns regarding the personal issues.

Consequences

Those employees who are being transferred to another country will be motivated by such benefits likeproper settlement of their entire family and benefits regarding their children’s education and house allowances with rent and utility bills. After gaining these benefits, employees might work more efficiently, but here problem that could occuris the employee who already live there mightdemand these allowances as well, which can lead to a reduction in the productivity...............................
