Seattle Public Schools–1995-2002 (A): The Freedom Agenda Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

Describes the efforts of the Seattle Schools Public, under the control of Joseph Olchefske, to replace the centralized budget process with the school district-level budgets. Decentralised Olchefske, referred to locally as the freedom agenda, allocated funding to schools based on the number of students and tried to give the principles of increased flexibility in resource management, recruitment and education programs. The main goal of the program was to equip the freedom principals and their leadership teams with the resources and authority they need to carry out educational programs to the individual needs of the student.
