Strategy maps are designed to help execute strategy and bring predictive quality for key performance indicators, linking them to perceive the cause-and-effect relationships. However, in our experience, the strategy map is often extrapolated from previous years and is rarely associated with possible future state. In this paper we argue that the analysis of the scenario could play an important role in the development of strategy maps, because it is an effective method to look to the future. Through the development of scenarios, organizations can think creatively about the possible future states of the explosive and can prepare yourself for the multiple plausible futures, not just the one they expect to happen. Thus, the scenario-based strategy maps can allow organizations are faced with the uncertainty in the strategic and more effective way to make them more sustainable in the long term. This article highlights the strengths and weaknesses of the strategy map and scenario analysis, and defines the method to develop scenarios based on the strategic map, both in theory and represents a significant example.
