In September 2009, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rona Inc. has been reviewed the progress of the continuing economic downturn. Ron was the largest retail hardlines in Canada. Rona said definitive signs of a slowdown in the third quarter of 2007 and started the Strategic Plan 2008 - 2011 as a response. A two-phase program is nearing completion of the first phase of productivity, efficiency and profitability (PEP) and prepared for the 24-month restoration program. The strategic plan was the best since its launch, all with a view to strengthen the major platforms. The purpose of the recovery plan is to restore the focus on growth vectors, of which the company has become distracted. Before the start of the recovery plan, CEO began to wonder if Ron was willing to act on the increase in sales, the use of independent, construction of new stores and acquisitions.
