Ricoh, a Japanese manufacturer of copiers, aims to reduce the environmental impact of one-eighth of its 2000 levels by 2050. It has already presented three stages of environmental consciousness in the activity, and its revised business copier broke down in 2006. The company has developed methods for environmental accounting, and produces annual environmental and sustainability reports, but Ricoh is concerned that investors may not take these efforts into account.
