In June 2000 an Indian NGO,The AkshayaPatraFoundation (TAPF) was serving lunch meal to 1500 children a day in five schools of Bangalore, but later on it developed its operations in 19 different locations in nine Indian states and now offering its lunch meal to around 1.5 million children regularly.
