The case describes a situation in which the Vice President of Operations of Konkan tobacco leaves, tobacco processing unit XYZ Limited. This unit is responsible for the procurement and processing of various types and grades of tobacco grown in southern India. Tobacco leaves are divided into different grades based on the quality and location of harvest. The company has two processing plants with different processing capacities.
