Ponce de leon (pol) is a four-party discussion activity in which a film studio is trying to sign a major celebrity to star in an upcoming picture. The negotiation centers around the different extrinsic and intrinsic motivations underlying each of these party's strategy to the discussion, and hence to the film.

The activity allows investigation of the dangers of "monetizing" different kinds of extrinsic (e.g. Pay, prizes, status) and inherent (e.g. Love of the work, values) motivation.
