Operation Index is a startup that holds patents on using colour-change technology to signal when golf balls are damaged by exposure to water. The used golf ball marketplace cuts badly into the sales of manufacturing companies because golfers place two to five used golf balls into play for every one new ball they purchase.
Operation Index's technology would drastically curtail the availability of balls that are used, doubling or tripling the size of the marketplace for new golf balls. At the time of the instance, the creators have been pursuing full time to this thought for five years, but have yet to convince any manufacturing companies to license their technology.
