Managers increasingly recognize the benefits of the traditional supply chain - lower costs, faster delivery and better quality - do not, in themselves, sufficient for today's market. The new paradigm is more complex supply chains, which also serves as a tool to create and maintain competitive advantage in the delivery of results. Thus, the parties have entered into a supply chain management in 2010 and further research initiative - four years a number of studies and seminars, on which this article is based. The authors report that "the supply chain of tomorrow" to achieve varying degrees of six major results, depending on their specific customer base and set of needs. The first of these results is the "cost" (the composition is still the sole purpose related to monetary value, delivery, and quality). Other reactions (the ability to change rapidly in size, location, or a mixture, depending on the varying conditions), security (guarantee that the products of the supply chain will not be contaminated or otherwise unsafe), sustainability ("green" or environmentally responsible), stability (the ability to recover quickly and efficiently from the failures) and innovation (the supply chain as a source of new products and processes or improve existing ones).
