Organizing for Disaster Lessons from the Military Harvard Case Solution & Analysis

Recent global events have highlighted the need for emergency planning leaders in all types of organizations, both civilian and military included. This article shows how from the academic and personal point of view, the lessons learned from the relief operations in the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan. By taking part in this work, I am here in detail design guide stable and reliable organizational structures that can deal with the uncertainty of environmental disaster. Organizations often make temporary command centers to improve the flow of information in a crisis. In addition, administrators are advised to create a temporary organizational structure with a common cognitive map for improving the way decisions for employees in turbulent times. Other lessons presented include creating nuances priority system to evaluate potential activities, and the need to eliminate bureaucratic barriers to action to improve the reaction rate, when life is at risk.
