We increasingly hear the alarm siren signaling that organizations cannot endure - much less flourish - by continuing to use frameworks. Lately, one framework that has emerged to illuminate networked systems work optimally centers on environmental thinking and its particular application to organizations. The result is that an 'organizational ecosystem' functions substantially as a biological ecosystem does, demonstrating both unlikeable and desirable properties that are similar to what we see in nature.
