As part of a large established organization, breakthrough ideas are often lost. This paper describes as a breakthrough innovation, as reflected in the ability of recognition. Based on data for the six-year study of twelve radical innovation projects in the ten largest U.S. firms. Largely ineffective in the current management processes and provides examples of organizational structures, mechanisms and roles to reduce these gaps.
