Newfoundland Arts Center (NCA) was theater, dance and visual arts organization with a long history of promoting indigenous Newfoundland and Labrador arts. The center was a democratic, member-driven organization and stakeholder disagreements on aspects of the Centre's mandate and operations. NCA also faced with financial problems, including the crisis in 2002 that nearly led to the closure. Funding came through, and General Manager undertook a strategic review of the organization.
