Its LSD factory was a well known international engineering supplier specializing in the design and production of high-precision valves. Two individuals were put in charge of the endeavor: Kevin Lurton, vice-chief operations officer of MGT Control Systems Division, the general manager of MGT Fuzhou Company, and Jian Li.
Li and Lurton tackled a succession of challenges, that range from the requirement for strategic planning to the requirement for an execution policy for supply chain reconstruction in this cross border factory move. Amid the tide of globalization, businesses are already capable to expand their footprint to each corner of the entire world. For several multinational enterprises, transferring maybe an entire factory, or a product line, to another nation has turned into a key step toward globalization.
