McKay Kids Co, founded in 1897 in Waterloo, Wisconsin, has been a long history of commitment to employees. Compact organization has been a pioneer in agriculture several people-friendly policies. But in the early 1980s, and the owners McKay got older and senior management closer to retirement, the next generation of managers feared for the future of profitable, debt-free company.
