In 2013, a successful entrepreneur in Eldoret, Kenya is contemplating he different options. In the year 2007, after a past of operating numerous small companies, only one of them turned out to be fruitless, she established Lilgaa Property Management Ltd., a real estate along with property management business.
She has focused her efforts on the real-estate industry in spite of its many challenges, which inculcates corruption and dearth of trust, enforcement and regulation. Now, she has to find out how to grow her business, especially, whether she must buy a building in Eldoret and rent or purchase a plot of land on the outskirts of town and develop a resort; if the latter, should it cater to the middle or upper class?
She must evaluate the many components of the societal, political and business surroundings and consider the possible risks that may impact the outcome of her investment.
