Vinod Kapoor has created a unique company, Keggfarms, based on special chicken he bred to seek food and income needs of some of the poorest people in the world: India villagers. As of November 2006, Keggfarms supplying chicks about 4 million rural poor, generating income for 700,000 households, when they were selling eggs and meat. In November 2006, Kapoor faced several challenges, including how to expand without capital, how to deal with imitation, and how to balance Keggfarm for commercial and social values.
