As a child, Al Fuller saw his working-class African-American neighborhood decay, as the factory jobs left. He decided to help urban communities better when he grew up. A few years later, as an established university graduate with many years of manufacturing experience, he began the scheme to take over and revive the first one, then another, corrugated box plant. These plants suffer from inefficiencies, poor quality control, and tense labor relations.
