This case deal with a joint scheme in microinsurance in India amid an Indian conglomerate, the Bajaj Group, Allianz SE, and a leading international insurance company - part of a more comprehensive commercial centure in the Indian life and nonlife insurance sector. The Bajaj Allianz joint venture is, consequently, participated in joint ventures in the microinsurance sector with NGOs (notably ATTENTION) and a leading microfinance institution, SKS, both designed to recuce the price of microinsurance allocation and enlarge the size of the indemnity pool.
