The history of international regulation of global capitalism respondents solving problems faced by firms in international, national and regional regulation. Follows the history of global regulation after 1914 from the League of Nations conference on "the codification of international law in the creation of the World Trade Organization. Tracks OECD initiative and the United Nations to develop management regimes for multinational corporations and explores why none of these initiatives have resulted in mandatory regulations. Also describes a number of other regulatory instruments, including bilateral investment treaties and corporate codes of conduct.
