Globalization has become an effective strategic option for Korea’s securities and brokerage industries’ companies because of the intense competition in the local market. The CEO of a Korean securities organization, Hyundai Securities Co., Ltd., is contemplating the ways to transform his company as a “pan-Asian market leader” and to accomplish his goal he is following the globalization strategy by entering into Singapore and Hong Kong markets. Although, many of the current competitors in the industry pursuing the globalization strategy which has dramatically increased the competition. Would it be effective for the CEO to pursue this strategic direction?
