In 2014, the general manager of the successful and established Hong Kong-based company Hung Fook Tong, which created and sold herbal teas, wondered how to expand his company to mainland China. After Hung Fook Tong's recent initial public offering on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, its shareholders' equity had tripled, which as a result, satisfied them.
The initial public offering led Hung Fook Tong to expand in mainland China however, many challenges were faced once entering the market, mostly because it was a big market.
