SELF-EVALUATION
Self-evaluation provides a great opportunity for employees to honestly and objectively consider and determine their performance. Successful self-evaluation helps to compare meaningful self-evaluation and the one which is less effective. Moreover, self-evaluation is thoughtful and considers a written review of one’s performance during an evaluation cycle. It also involves the rating of accomplished goals, objectives, competencies, career development and career planning. It is also a primary opportunity to open a dialogue between the manager and employee (PA Mabe 1982).

According to the performance rating scale, I would rate my attendance at five because my regular performance is excellent. I can easily assess my skills, abilities, and performance, on the basis of work or task. Self-development is highly important to compete with others and to be more effective and efficient in completing the task and activities. I prefer to work individually rather than teamwork. However, my teamwork skills are also good enough to cooperate with others and motivate them to complete the task (BS Linn 1975).
Moreover, I rate my attitude at two because I have good communication and negotiation skills to cooperate with my colleagues. According to the instructor, my quality of work is good and effective. However, the quality of work is difficult because you want to help your employee improve without causing her to become defensive. Planning and organizing effectively in the performance rating helps to improve performance and builds a stronger working relationship with others.

My learning effort during the class is up to the mark. I would like to gain new skills and knowledge; therefore, I rate my adaptability at 5. Moreover, the course understanding helps to implement HR practices effectively and to maintain the goals and objectives of one’s life. My relationship with the instructor was also good; the learning from the instructor helped me to gain an understanding of the social and ethical environment. Moreover, the learning helps me to gain more skills such as interpersonal skills, good communication skills, team work effort, problem-solving skills, and confidence building skills. Lastly, the performance, handling skills helps to create flexible working conditions and to manage the balance between the work and family life.
Q.3: How would I rate my openness to learning from others? Why?
I would rate my openness to learning from others on the scale of 4. I like to gain more knowledge and skills from others. New knowledge helps to gain more dimensions in the working environment. However, I also prefer to learn individually, by solving different case studies, implement in real life, and try to solve problems and conflicts. In the social domain, having freedom to contribute, freedom to use and freedom to share, this will not only help me, but others also share their creative and innovative ideas and opinions, to solve problems.
Openness to learning creates a positive relationship with creativity, intelligence, and knowledge. Moreover, the learning help to gain more management skills that help in decision-making task and goals, especially in the larger environment. Therefore, openness to learning should be implemented in the class, so that students can gain more knowledge and information of the world.Human Resource Management Case Solution
