The major players of the fashion retail business like Zara or H&M generally come into the mind of people as they hear “fast fashion”. Although, some of them even don’t know about the fast fashion in terms of its operation, and how it exploits Quick Response (QR) production and integrative planning to transform the conventional design, production, purchasing, and distribution processes from years and months to only a couple of weeks. This article is roll out in sequence as more and more information is revealed about fast fashion as a business model. However, it would be incomplete only to define the ability of the model as a value creator unless the ethical and environmental perspectives are not mentioned with it. The case also depicts the fast fashion model’s potential for other industries, including food, phones, entertainment etc.
