Hong Kong's Container Truckers: The Mid-Stream Fee Dispute Case Solution
A series of industrial activities ensued, and liners, shippers as well as the authorities were involved in following discussions. The rounds of tussles between the truckers and the HKMOA survived into 2001. Finally, the HKMOA won: The truckers had to pay the midstream fee, although in many cases, couldn't recoup it from the shippers. Did the truckers become the casualties of the HKMOA?
