While social media can have major advantages for organizations, postings and the social networking existences of workers might be problematic for organizations. This is especially true when employees have links to co-workers and supervisors. Workers posting content deemed inappropriate or damaging to the organization has caused an important variety of workers being fired for their social networking conduct.
Organizations should create social networking policies to direct worker content, to prevent such situations. Organizational implementation of social media policy is really on the rise, but serious questions remain as to how to make it successful. One crucial question is how good employees comprehend their employer's policy and know. In this specific article, we discuss how to convey social media policies to workers and help their understanding. We draw on exploratory data from a sample of young adult workers regarding their understanding of their very own firm's social media policies to inform our recommendations.
