Jim Zimmerman, executive director of HealthReach clinic, went to Abbott Fund, one of the organizations that helped fund Habla in 1992 to provide additional funds for the continuation of the highly successful and valuable medical program interpretation. Abbott agreed to fund additional funds to Habla, a pledge of $ 100,000 to be divided into two, which will keep the program afloat and maintain its expansion. With this support, Zimmerman and his team have expanded the program so that it reaches no more English speaking people in the Chicago area. After several years of growth, the program Habla attracted media attention, and with this publicity, was ready to serve as a model for other communities in the United States.
