Raises a number of issues related to cost accounting in nonprofit organizations. Students must (a) decide whether a project cost, (b) decide on a cost center, and (c) determine which cost centers must be service centers, which should be the mission of the centers, (d) to determine how some of the costs should be reallocated between cost centers (e) decide on the allocation of funds for the service centers of the mission centers, and (e) to calculate the fees for "passing through" the various cost centers.
