Han Young Labor Dispute (A) Case Solution

This note goes through the development of a labor dispute at the Han Young maquiladora in Tijuana, Mexico.

The dispute began over union representation at a 120-worker firm, but soon escalated into a source of tension between Mexico, Canada, and the United States, and a test for the labor side agreements to NAFTA. Requests students: 1) to consider how international treaties socialize with national laws, and 2) the proper function of various parties to the dispute.
